Background

Why build boring when you can build with Blox?

How's that for an opening tagline? Blox is a company here in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that specializes in shipping container design, fabrication, and implementation. Blox works with commercial clients and residential clients to create one-of-a-kind work/live spaces made using multiple shipping containers. They do all their design and fabrication work here in Grand Rapids, and then can implement the containers nationwide.

Getting Started

In 2023, the Blox team was interested in dialing in their digital marketing plan. They have a great product, a great process, and a great team. They were looking to use their digital profiles as platforms to showcase their past projects and then build awareness around what is capable of shipping container construction.

By building awareness around what is possible with shipping container construction, we are able to stay top of mind when contractors and builders have new projects come across their desks. By stacking and combining shipping containers, the architectural opportunities really are endless.

This here is a project Blox did with Ideology Production in Ada, Michigan. The Launch Kit team visited the job site during construction and afterward to document the work being done.

Results

Website

We spent 2023 building Blox, a new website that functions as their digital home base. It's a place to educate visitors about shipping container capabilities. Once users are aware of what's possible, we then direct traffic to the Contact Us page to generate lead inquiries.

Photo/Video

We've had the opportunity to travel around town with the Blox team, capturing content for all sorts of projects. Our routine is to do one production day per month. During that production day we create at least 25 photos and four short videos. This gives us fresh material to use on the website and social media profiles.

Social Media Management

For Blox, social media is the medium for sharing an inside look at what is possible with shipping container construction. We post content throughout the week that is a mixture of behind-the-scenes, at the office, in the field, and finished products. With an audience of over 12,000 followers, we have a great time sharing what's new in the world of containers. Launch Kit directly manages Blox's, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google My Business, and LinkedIn.
