That’s the question David Hopson, co-founder of Biked, asked himself in 2019. He turned a passion for tinkering with bikes in his garage into a business model that’s rethinking how West Michigan residents get their bikes serviced. Think Uber, Instacart, or Shipt, but for your two-wheeler.
Biked opened its first shop on Roger B Chaffee Memorial Blvd, right in the heart of an industrial zone in Grand Rapids. This spot allowed them to stay cost-effective and well-positioned for customers to drop off bikes. Now, with their business model in place, they needed a way to reach the local cycling community. That’s where Launch Kit came into the picture.

Biked needed a way to communicate their vision—a streamlined, user-friendly bike service experience. We wanted to help them build awareness in the Grand Rapids cycling community, educating potential customers about their services, and making it as easy as possible to book a bike tune-up online.

Biked's website needed to do more than just look good. We built a clean, user-friendly site that serves as an educational hub for their services, pricing, reviews, and contact info. Visitors can easily book an appointment directly through an integration with HubTiger. The goal? Make it easy for someone to discover Biked online, learn about what they offer, and schedule their service in a few clicks.
From event flyers to in-store signage, we’ve worked on several graphic design projects to help Biked promote both their services and local cycling events like Bikes on the Blue Bridge. Our collaborative approach makes it easy for their team to request new designs through our platform—just a few clicks, a little back-and-forth, and we’re off to the races.
Twice a month, we meet up at the shop or at a local event to create photo and video content that really captures the heart of Biked’s brand. This content fuels their social media strategy, with a focus on both education and entertainment for the cycling community. Whether it’s a behind-the-scenes look at the shop or a spotlight on a local event, we’re helping Biked stay connected with their audience in a meaningful way.
Consistency is key in social media, and Biked started out on our Growth Minded + SMM plan. Each month, we hop on a quick 30-minute Pulse Meeting to review how last month’s content performed and brainstorm new ideas for the upcoming weeks. We manage their profiles across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Google, making sure the messaging is spot-on and the inbox is handled.
