Kevin Kamis founded Launch Kit in the Spring of 2020 after graduating from Grand Valley State University. While at GVSU, Kevin double majored in Marketing and General Management. Beginning in his sophomore year, he got involved with the schools chapter of the American Marketing Association where he eventually served as Vice President his senior year.
During his time at University, Kevin elected to spend his free time working on freelance logo design, web design and photography projects for small businesses in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Starting off by servicing his friends and families businesses, Kevin did a good job of documenting his work via social media. By bringing awareness to the types of projects he was doing, it created a snowball effect, one client leading to the next.
Upon graduation, Kevin was beginning to realize he most enjoyed the business development, finance and project management side of the projects. A blank Adobe Illustrator art board made him uneasy but a blank spreadsheet gave him energy. Kevin capitalized on this by beginning to hire his first few team members; Creatives who truly loved to create and were thankful that Kevin enjoyed being the "business" guy.
Winter of 2021 was big for Launch Kit as Kevin signed a lease on Launch Kit's first office space in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan at 89 Ionia Ave NW, STE 100. This effectively began to bring Kevin's vision for an accessible, comfortable, innovative, marketing agency to life.
Now a days, Kevin spends his time focused on leading the Launch Kit team, being there to support us in any way he can. He's still going strong with documenting his work, now primarily through behind the scenes footage on Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.
When Kevin's not in the office, you can likely find him on the golf course, a local coffee shop or in a comfy chair reading books on business and psychology.
