Introduction

I'm very excited to sit down today and write about Launch Kit's newest offering - digital advertising for small businesses.

Over the years, we've had the opportunity to work with over a hundred local businesses on their marketing. Along the way, we've been able to take notes about understanding the needs of small businesses and the perspective of small business owners. We use these notes to craft offerings that are a win for both the small business and the creative team here at Launch Kit.

Help with digital advertising on platforms like Facebook and Google has been a topic that has come up quite frequently. We didn't jump into this service right away as we wanted to take time to consider how we could integrate it along with our creative services. Our goal was to create a user experience that puts a small business owner in the leadership seat - sharing with us business priorities and vision, while the Launch Kit creative team can bring to the table marketing strategy and execution.

Today we are excited to introduce our Digital Advertising service. We're going to be working with the platforms - Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Amazon to provide small businesses with an insightful, transparent, and engaging advertising experience.

Organic & Paid - "And", not "Or"

We believe that pairing organic social media with paid advertising is the best way to create an omnipresence for your business that raises awareness, creates brand affinity, engages the viewer, and generates leads.

  • Organic - Raise awareness, brand affinity, viewer engagement. Jab, jab, jab, as Gary V would say.
  • Paid - Targeted messages, direct promotions, generate leads. Right hook, as Gary V would say.

How We're Going to Provide Advertising For Small Businesses

To pull this off, we've created a monthly workflow that begins with your business priorities. An initial pulse meeting gets the ball rolling. Meet with the Launch Kit creative team to share your upcoming priorities. With that information, the Launch Kit team will be able to recommend which platforms we should advertise on, and how much our monthly budget should be in the beginning.

From there, we begin to talk about creative.

When we say creative, we're referring to a photo, video, or graphic design piece used in the advertisement.

If you'd like, the Launch Kit team will plan, produce, and edit the creative for your ad campaign. This is the part we're really excited for because we get to work as a team and each bring a unique skill to the table.

Launch Kit Ads Manager, Austin Johnson, will then take the creative piece and bring it into the advertisement platform backend to set up targeting, strategy, and conversions. We can even tap into the web design team's knowledge of creating website pages that help convert clicks into inquiries.

With your ads up and running, it's our job to actively monitor performance and make minor adjustments throughout the month. As the month ends, we will compile results reporting for you to review. We'll draw insights from this reporting about how we should adjust our advertising plan for the upcoming month.

For example, maybe we had one video ad significantly outperform another ad. We might create a new video that aligns with the high-performing ad to continue fine-tuning our performance capability.
