Go behind the scenes at Launch Kit, a Grand Rapids marketing agency, for a real look at sales growth, client wins, and how we build systems that scale for Michigan businesses.
Happy Monday to anybody and everybody out there building something cool. That is how I kicked off this week on the vlog, and it ended up being one of those weeks that reminded me why I love doing this. Big sales milestone. A client hitting their best month ever. And a new system I have been building behind the scenes to make our client reporting actually useful instead of just a bunch of numbers nobody cares about.

If you want the full story, the video is above. But I wanted to write out my notes from the week too, because there is always more to unpack than what fits in 15 minutes of footage.
So far this year, we are at $236,000 in sales. That is up 75 percent from last year at this point.
I will be honest, numbers like that do not happen by accident. I credit all of it to one simple idea we talk about constantly here at Launch Kit:
Get the right people, in the right seats, with the right system.
You cannot build a real marketing agency, or really any business, by doing it all yourself. You need a team. You need a system. And you need a scoreboard so you can actually see if the system is working.
That is the whole philosophy behind how we run Launch Kit, and it is the same thing we teach business owners inside the Launch Kit Mastermind and practice with our clients.
Last week I went a little off the grid to deep dive a project that has been on my mind for a while. As a marketing agency, it is so easy to over report to clients. You show them a hundred numbers, and most of those numbers do not actually help them make a decision or understand their business better.
The real challenge is sifting through the noise and finding the signal. Then only reporting the signal.
So I spent time figuring out how to rebuild this inside DataBox, which is the software we use for client reporting. The goal is simple. Give our clients fewer numbers, but make sure every number we show them actually means something.
This week, my top priority was getting Austin and Rachel up to speed on the new reporting flow before Pulse Week. Pulse meetings are something we run with every client during the first week of each month. We sit down, go over analytics, look at the scoreboard, and talk through priorities for the next 30 days.
Rolling out a new system right before Pulse Week is a quick turnaround. But that is part of being a scrappy small company. We want to move fast. Moving slow is not fun, and it is not how we operate.
We wrapped up the week with three back to back Pulse meetings. Wolverine, Immersive Homes, and then Lead Scout.
Lead Scout was the one that made me smile. Chris dropped a note that they just had their highest month ever in sales. Back in January, they were sitting at $32,000 in monthly recurring revenue. After three months of working together, they are now at $54,000 in monthly recurring revenue.
That is the kind of result that reminds me why this work matters. It is not about vanity metrics. It is about real growth for real businesses here in West Michigan.
This week we also wrapped up a full rebrand and website project for a client we are really proud of. Here is how we helped a contractor in Grand Rapids go from just another builder to the go to barn expert in West Michigan.
Brendan was running McKeller Construction. Solid work, but the brand blended in with every other contractor out there. Mid call, he drops this line on us. I am thinking about going all in on barn building.
We went all in with him. We shut down the old brand and built something fresh.
Here is a quick breakdown of what that looked like:
Now Brendan is not just another contractor. He has a brand that turns heads and a website that brings in leads while he sleeps.
If you are still running a generic brand with a DIY website, this is your sign. Niche down, get your marketing right, and build something that actually sells.
Weeks like this are why I started this channel. Behind every number on a scoreboard is a real business owner trying to build something that matters. Behind every reporting system we build is an effort to respect our clients time and actually show them what counts.
If you are a small business owner in Grand Rapids or West Michigan looking for a marketing agency that treats your business like it is our own, this is a good snapshot of how we operate. Systems, people, and real results.
