AI-Assisted Weekly Blog Content Writing Tutorial - Prompts Included

Discover a simple, AI-supported routine I use to create blog content, email newsletters, and social posts, perfect for small business owners building online presence.

If content marketing has ever felt like a chore, I want to show you the AI-assisted routine I use to make blog writing and email creation something I actually look forward to each week.

This system helps small business owners (like me and probably like you) publish consistent, omni-channel content across your website, email list, and social media, all while sipping coffee in your robe. Literally.

Here’s the principle:

  1. Write a blog article for your website about something you’re passionate about, and that your target audience will find valuable.
  2. Shorten that article into an email newsletter with a clear call-to-action to “get all the secrets” by reading the full blog post.
  3. Post on social media to mention your new content piece and link back to the article.
  4. Finally, record a few short videos on the same topic to use on platforms like Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.

That’s a simple omni-channel marketing strategy, and here’s exactly how I pull it off.

Step 1 – Write Something You Actually Enjoy

This whole process starts with choosing a topic you’re excited to share. For me, early Thursday mornings work best. I plan the topic on Monday, and when Thursday rolls around, I sit down with a cup of coffee and write the rough draft in Notion on my iPhone. You could use the Notes app or any writing tool that feels comfortable.

The key: write in a stream-of-consciousness style. Don’t overthink it. Just get your thoughts down. We’ll clean it up in the next step.

Step 2 – Use ChatGPT to Support (Not Replace)

With a rough draft in hand, now it’s time to format and polish the content for the internet. This is where AI comes in.

Important: I’m a big believer in writing your own content. I use ChatGPT to refine and format my own writing, not to replace it.

Here’s what I prompt ChatGPT to refine for each piece:

I just wrote the following blog article for Launch Kit's website. I'd like to keep it as close as possible to my original language, word choice, style, and vibe. I'm looking to refine it by adding search engine keywords to target, fixing spelling, and ensuring it is clearly organized for the reader. Do not include emojis, line breaks or em-dashes.

Chat GPT will give refine my article to ensure my thoughts are clearly organized for the reader. Sometimes when I write stream of conscious style, my thoughts will get a bit scattered. I'll transfer the writing to ClickUp where I make my final adjustments to the article (such as this section here, I'm writing this after.)

With the article in place, I then use this prompt:

Here is the adjusted blog article that I'm going to use. Based on the blog article, write a 175-character meta description. Write a social media caption for Kevin Kamis's LinkedIn (Kevin wrote the article). Write a brief email newsletter that gives readers a hook-style preview of the blog content and gives them a call to action to read the full article if they find this topic interesting. The email should feel very personal like it's written by me, Kevin Kamis.

Fields I'm asking for:

  • Blog article title (SEO optimized)
  • Meta description
  • Email subject line
  • Email body content
  • Social media caption (for LinkedIn/Facebook)

This is where AI feels like magic. I’m still sharing my original thoughts, but now they’re formatted, shortened, and made more engaging for readers online. It’s like having a co-pilot that helps with the heavy lifting.

Step 3 – Post Your Content Across Channels

Even the best blog article can’t provide value if no one sees it. Here’s how I get my content in front of the right people.

1. Post the Article on Your Website

This becomes the anchor for all your content that week. At Launch Kit, we use Webflow to manage our websites. If you’re on one of our Growth or Pro plans, we’ll format and upload blog articles for you, just send us the text.

Your blog lives on your website, which is your corner of the internet. That said, unless it ranks organically (which takes time), you’ll need to manually drive traffic to it, email and social are great for that.

2. Send an Email Newsletter

Now that your blog is live, log in to your email marketing platform. We use our own in-house tool, but HubSpot and Klaviyo are also great options.

Keep it simple:

  • One message
  • One subject
  • One call to action

Our go-to format: introduce the topic, tease the insight, and encourage readers to click to read the full article if they find the topic interesting.

3. Share to Organic Social Media

Next, I hop over to LinkedIn and Facebook. I write a short, text-based post and include a direct link to the blog article.

This is a low-effort, high-reward step. If someone’s interested, they’ll click to read more.

4. Create Short Video Content

Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn videos don’t allow clickable links in captions, so I take a slightly different approach here.

I record a short video sharing a key point from your article. Genuinely offer value. If you’d like, use a “link in bio” tool like Linktree or Beacons to guide users to the full article.

Final Thoughts – Make It Repeatable

Omni-channel content marketing isn’t new. But using tools like ChatGPT, a consistent weekly routine, and a clear checklist makes it doable for us small business owners.

I love this process because it doesn’t replace me, it supports me. I still get to share my perspective and creativity, and AI helps with the formatting and follow-through. The Launch Kit team help with the website and social media content. This genuinely feels like we have the right people in the right seats each contributing unique value.

It’s kind of like a washer and dryer. I’m still the one doing the laundry, but the machine makes it easier, faster, and more efficient.

Pro Tip: Add this content workflow to your weekly recurring to-do list. I recently wrote another article on how I use recurring tasks to stay productive, check it out if you want to feel like you’ve found a cheat code for staying ahead.
