In Michigan, lakefront living is part of our DNA. If you’ve spent any time here, you've likely heard someone talk about their cottage or favorite lake spot. But maintaining the beauty and health of those bodies of water isn’t just about enjoying a summer weekend—it’s a year-round job. That’s where Pond and Lake Management Corp (PLM Corp) comes in. With offices across five states—Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee, Minnesota, and South Carolina—PLM Corp takes care of thousands of lakes and ponds, ensuring they remain vibrant for both nature and humans alike.
When PLM Corp came to Launch Kit looking to improve their social media presence, we saw an opportunity to help them tell their story in a way that would resonate with their audience. After all, they don’t just manage lakes—they help preserve a way of life we all hold dear in Michigan. Our partnership with PLM Corp kicked off in 2024. When we first sat down with their team, we made sure to focus on understanding the bigger picture - what are their business goals for the next few years? PLM had two main objectives: growing their team by attracting new talent and documenting the work they do.
One of the things that stood out to us right away was PLM Corp’s culture. As small business owners ourselves, we get how important it is to have a company culture that people can connect with, especially when you’re offering something as unique as lake and pond management. It’s a job that isn’t exactly on the radar for most of Gen Z, but the team at PLM offers something special. They’re making a tangible difference to the environment, and that’s a message we knew we needed to get across.
This consistent approach not only helps maintain engagement but also ensures that their audience—whether clients, potential employees, or general followers—knows when to expect new content. Over time, this helps build a strong online presence.

Videos on Tuesdays: Every Tuesday, we release a short video that highlights a different aspect of PLM’s work, whether it’s showcasing a project in action or providing an inside look at the company’s culture.
Photos on Thursdays: On Thursdays, we post a set of photos that capture the beauty of the lakes and ponds they maintain, as well as behind-the-scenes moments of their team at work.
