Transforming Filotto CPA's identity with a new logo, color palette, and font. Explore how Launch Kit's Logo Kit enhanced their accounting firm's visual identity.
Filotto Professional Services was founded in 1999 by Robert Filotto. The business was designed to serve Joliet, Illinois, small businesses with professional accounting services. Over the years, the firm began to gain traction and build its book of relationships. Serving their community by providing an honest service to greater Illinois business owners.
Robert Filotto's son Reid Filotto attended Indiana University and then DePaul University, where he obtained his Master of Science degree.
As Reid stepped into the family business, he brought with him a fresh perspective while carrying the same values his father instilled back in 1999.
Reid has built his own reputation as an accounting progressional here to serve his community. Reid has found traction in fractional CFO work, forensic accounting, and tax accounting. Filotto CPA is an essential part of hundreds of business owners' lives.
Reid Filotto was interested in a refreshed identity for Filotto Professional Services—specifically, a revised logo, color, and font. After an initial call with Kevin Kamis from Launch Kit, it was apparent that Launch Kit's Logo Kit offerings would be a great fit.
What's included
We got the ball rolling with our business questionnaire workshop via Google Meet. Launch Kit Graphic Designer Michael Bova talked with Reid about a series of questions to get to know more about his family business and the work they do. From that conversation, the Launch Kit team was able to get a good feel for Reid Filotto’s style preferences. We hopped in Pinterest as a team to explore a variety of aesthetics.
From the initial exploration, "simple" and "clean" were the standout keywords.
With an understanding of Reid's business and his style preferences, Michael Bova began his three-week journey of sketching logo concepts, exploring color palettes, and testing different fonts.
Michael prepared three different logo concepts that were each unique but also in line with Reed's style preference for simplicity and cleanness. Michael applied the three logo concepts to life-like mockups to help Reid visualize what the logo options would look like in the real world.
We hopped back on Google Meet with Reid, and Micheal presented the options. The good news is we faced a tough decision. There were multiple great options. After careful consideration, we elected to go with option number two, which we have all come to know as the official Filotto Professional Services Identity.

The Launch Kit team had a great time collaborating with Reid on this project, where we had the opportunity to be part of their community. We got to make a positive impact by providing Filotto CPA with the necessary files to present themselves online professionally.
With the Logo Kit in place, it’s now time to get started on a fresh website for Filotto CPA. Launch Kit web designer Mackenzie Broekstra has begun the process, and we look forward to sharing the results with you here. In the meantime, we’re going to have a cup of coffee and get back to work.
