The 9 Daily Habits That Keep My Business Growing (From $0 to $52K MRR)

Discover the 9 daily revenue generating activities I use to grow my marketing agency from $0 to $52K MRR. A proven business checklist for consistent growth.

Want Consistent Leads? You Need Consistent Actions

If you want to achieve consistent leads and long-term growth in your business, I’m going to let you in on the exact daily checklist that helped me build my marketing agency (Launch Kit) from scratch to $52,000 in monthly recurring revenue.

Four years ago, I had a drone, a camera, a laptop, and a willingness to learn. That was it. No team. No office. Just a lot of figuring it out as I went. Today, Launch Kit has five full-time team members and an office here in downtown Grand Rapids.

And while there have been ups and downs, I’ve created something that helps me push through the tough days and keep the momentum strong on the good ones.

The Struggle Every Business Owner Feels

If you’re like me when I was starting out, you’re probably wondering: how do I actually stay consistent when there are a thousand things pulling for my attention every day?

How do I stop spinning my wheels and actually feel like I’m moving forward, day by day?

This is where my daily checklist comes in. By the end of this article, you’ll know the exact nine steps I use to run, grow, and breathe life into my small business. You’ll also know how to build your own version of this checklist so you can start compounding wins every single day.

The Foundation of Business Growth

As business owners, we’re all chasing consistent “up and to the right.” That could mean:

  • Brand awareness such as impressions
  • Brand authority such as followers
  • Sales opportunities such as leads
  • Closed sales that drive revenue

But at the core, we want momentum.

The checklist I’m about to show you is what I call my Revenue Generating Activities.

If we want consistent output, we need consistent input. Think of it like fitness. You don’t go to the gym for seven days in a row, all day long, and then call it good for the year. You win over time with a consistent routine.

It’s the tortoise and the hare. To win the long game, you need a system that holds you accountable. That’s where this checklist comes in.

The Tool That Makes This Work: Things 3

To bring this checklist to life, I use an app called Things 3. It’s a to-do list app that syncs across my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It’s simple, fast, and clean.

I’ve made a full breakdown video of how I use Things 3 on my YouTube channel (linked in the description of the video version of this article).

For our purposes here, the recurring to-do item feature is key. Every single weekday, I open my app and see the same recurring task: Revenue Generating Activities.

When I click it, I see nine subtasks - these are the nine activities that keep my business alive.

This task repeats every weekday. Because let’s be honest, we all rise to the level of our motivations, but we fall to the level of our systems.

This checklist is my system. It keeps me on track even when I’m not feeling motivated.

Pro tip: I do Revenue Generating Activities first every morning. The only exception is Thursdays, when I write scripts and notes for YouTube videos like this one. Thursdays are for writing. Every other day of the week, this checklist comes first.

Because when I do these nine things, brand awareness grows, leads come in, and deals close.

Let’s go through each checklist item.

The 9 Daily Revenue Generating Activities

1. Kevin Kamis Social

I start by checking in on content that is going out on my personal pages.

  • I pull up ClickUp and look at what’s scheduled for the day
  • If there’s anything the team has sent me for review, I take care of it

This allows me to stay consistent with vlogs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and YouTube videos every Tuesday.

2. Launch Kit Social

Next, I move to Launch Kit’s content.

  • I review the content scheduled for the day
  • I give the team feedback if needed

I put these two social tasks first because when I review CRM data, social media is one of our top sources of opportunities.

3. LinkedIn Connections

LinkedIn is one of the most powerful B2B lead generation tools. I treat it just like my other platforms.

  • I post vlogs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • YouTube videos on Tuesdays
  • Polls on Thursdays

Because I’m consistent with posting, I also need to be consistent with building my network. I use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find people who fit my ideal client profile. For me, that’s business owners and founders in Grand Rapids.

Each day I send connection requests to one page of new people.

4. DM Connections

Once I’ve connected with people, I provide immediate value.

Not by asking them to grab coffee. Instead, I send them something that can actually help their business.

Recently, I’ve been sharing my Marketing System Breakdown video. Most small business owners know they need to improve their marketing but struggle to connect the dots. This video clears that up.

Every day, I message 10 people.

I keep a default message saved in Things 3, but I personalize it based on conversations. I also tag anyone I’ve sent a resource to so I don’t send it twice.

This sparks conversations, builds relationships, and provides value without asking for anything in return.

5. Respond to DMs

Next, I check my LinkedIn inbox. Many of the people I messaged earlier are responding.

Here’s the key: just be human. Have real conversations. Recommend a resource. Point someone to a YouTube video or book.

6. Reengage 5 Contacts

In my CRM, Go High Level, I built a Smart List of contacts who are not currently Launch Kit clients.

These could be:

  • Leads who never converted
  • One-time project clients
  • Former clients

Every day I reengage five of them. Again, I’m not pitching. I’m simply sending something helpful, like my Marketing System Breakdown video.

I track this with tags to avoid duplicate sends.

As Gary Vaynerchuk says, this is jab, jab, jab, right hook.

7. Follow Up on Opportunities

Still in the CRM, I review every open opportunity in the sales pipeline.

This is basic sales 101, but without a system it’s easy to drop the ball.

I update statuses, follow up, and keep deals moving. Often people reply with, “Thanks for following up, let’s schedule a call.”

Momentum created by consistency.

8 & 9. Check Metricool Inboxes (Kevin + Launch Kit)

Finally, I check all social DMs for both my personal brand and Launch Kit accounts.

We use Metricool, which centralizes all DMs across platforms in one inbox.

This is where a lot of soft leads come in. Questions, follow-ups, service inquiries. Checking daily makes sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Building Your Own Daily Checklist

That’s the nine daily checklist items I use to keep my business growing.

Here’s how you can create your own system:

  1. Create a recurring to-do item in a task manager (Things 3, or the Reminders app on iOS if you want a free option).
  2. List out your daily revenue generating activities such as reviewing content, connecting with people, sending DMs, checking your inbox, and following up on opportunities.
  3. Customize the tasks to fit your business.

Once your checklist is created, the hard part is done. Most people never get this far.

Now it’s all about following through. When that checklist shows up - get it done.

Final Thoughts

These are the exact nine steps that helped me grow my agency from nothing to $52,000 in monthly recurring revenue. They keep my business alive and thriving by focusing only on activities that generate leads, build relationships, and close deals.

If you want the full breakdown of how I use Things 3 to structure this system, I’ve got a full video tutorial on YouTube you can check out.

Now it’s your turn. Build your list. Do the work. Watch your business grow.
