In the Fall of 2011 the Walker Police Department in Walker, Michigan, lost one of its most notables heroes. Police Officer Trevor Slot was struck and killed by a bank robbery suspect while he was in the process of deploying spike strips on I-96.
For the past 9 years, to honor Officer Slot, the Walker Police Department hosted a memorial service at their headquarters. With the 2020 COVID-19 restriction, Chief of Police, Greg Long, decided to innovate, pivot, and produce a documentary video in Office Slot's honor.
Launch Kit was brought on to handle the video production, shoot, and edit. We worked with the PD to record a series of interviews, behind-the-scenes b-roll, and even a bagpipe demonstration.
The result was a top-notch professional video that will carry on the memories of Officer Slot. Launch Kit was very thankful to be included in this great cause. The documentary can be viewed via this link to the Walker Police Department's Facebook Page.
