How a chance meeting led to a dynamic video project for Outgrow’s advisor certification event—capturing keynote sessions, live discussions, and training content for long-term
Sometimes, the best projects come from simply being in the right place at the right time. That’s exactly how our work with Outgrow began.
Noah and Kevin were on-site at an EOS Client Appreciation event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, capturing photo and video content. As we were setting up gear for keynote speaker Alex Goldfayn, he walked over to introduce himself. He thanked us for being there and then asked—on the spot—if we could edit and deliver footage from his talk for his own marketing efforts.
After a quick conversation to confirm we could meet his needs, we let him know that we were in.
We successfully delivered polished video material from that event, and soon after, Alex reached out with another opportunity. He wanted us to handle video production for an upcoming Certified Outgrow Advisor Training event in Lake Forest, Illinois.
The goal for this project was clear: document the Outgrow Advisor Certification event in a way that would allow attendees to revisit key insights and help future advisors access high-quality training content on demand.
For two days, we filmed at the event, capturing:
Every piece of content we shot was designed for Outgrow’s learning management system (LMS), ensuring advisors could revisit the material time and time again.
On the first day of production, Noah Wyn and I (Daniel Bremmer) rolled up to the location early—coffee in hand, still shaking off the morning fog—ready to scout the space and get everything dialed in. It’s always a bit of a ritual: walking the room, testing the light, and imagining how the final shots will play out. For this shoot, we were running a three-camera setup to make sure we captured the full dynamic of the group.
The A-cam was locked in on the main speaker—the anchor of the conversation—catching every word with clarity and focus. Meanwhile, the B-cam panned over to one-half of the group of advisors, quietly observing their reactions, nods, and moments of engagement. The C-cam mirrored this on the opposite side, keeping the other half in frame. This coverage ensured we didn’t miss a beat—whether it was a spontaneous question, a thoughtful aside, or those subtle but telling exchanges of glances that can add so much authenticity to the final cut.
We could’ve opted for a single wide shot to capture the whole scene, but we knew that would flatten the energy. Instead, we wanted the final deliverables to feel layered and dynamic—more intentional. Varying the angles gave us the flexibility to cut between perspectives, creating a more compelling visual rhythm that would draw viewers in.
Throughout the shoot, we kept a tight workflow. With each filming block lasting one to two hours, it was all about staying ahead of the curve. Spare batteries were constantly on rotation, charging in the background like a well-oiled machine. We kept extra SD cards handy too—just in case. No one likes the sinking feeling of running out of storage mid-shot.
By the end of the day, the rhythm was seamless. The team flowed effortlessly between setups, and communication was sharp. It’s always satisfying when everything just clicks—when the prep, the gear, and the crew are all in sync. And on this shoot, that’s exactly how it felt.
After two days of shooting, Noah Wyn and I (Daniel Bremmer) sat on 12+ hours of footage and audio from 7+ different sources. Intimidating at first, we got right to planning the best strategy for editing and producing our deliverables.
We began by syncing our footage using PluralEyes, which aided in combining our many sources of audio with all the different footage we collected. From there we tuned up any syncing issues in Premiere Pro and got to editing.
The deliverables were structured into multiple sections; for example, day one would have been split up into 4-5 different videos depending on the content being discussed. Essentially, we were creating digital lesson plans for the advisors to look back on, highlighting the main material of the course and any other conversations.
The final video content now serves as an integral part of Outgrow’s certified advisor training program, helping new advisors learn from real-world sessions even after the live event.
Beyond the successful deliverables, our collaboration with Outgrow has been outstanding. Clear communication, aligned goals, and a shared focus on creating high-quality, practical sales training content have made this a strong partnership.
With additional projects already on the calendar, we’re excited to continue working with Outgrow and help them scale their training efforts through professional video production.
