I was just leaving a video shoot at Little Red Pediatric Dentistry when I got a call from an unknown number. That’s when I was introduced to Kade Vannoord from Custom Hydrovac—a hydro excavation company based here in West Michigan. The connection came through Launch Kit’s previous work with Kade’s brother, Tyce Vannoord, who owns Complete Roofing, also a local West Michigan business.
I hopped on a Google Meet call with Kade and Sydney Langeland to learn more about their day-to-day operations at Custom Hydrovac. It was immediately clear their team was doing excellent work—they just needed help documenting it, telling their story, and building a polished online presence. In other words: the perfect fit for Launch Kit.
Our first project with Custom Hydrovac was to design and develop a new custom website using Webflow. The goal was to build a site that accurately communicates Custom Hydrovac’s unique capabilities and expertise in hydro excavation.
By optimizing the website’s copywriting, layout, and imagery, we created a digital experience that clearly showcases Custom Hydrovac’s ideal services. The intention? Put out the kind of energy you want to receive—aka attract the right leads and projects.
Launch Kit web designer Austin Johnson led this project. This one was a textbook example of a well-oiled machine. We kicked things off on February 28, had a beta site delivered by March 21, and launched the live website on April 1—a total timeline of just 32 days. That kind of speed and precision doesn’t happen by accident. Sydney provided clear, organized content and made it easy for Austin to do his best work. Revisions were thoughtful and on-point—everything just clicked.
We’re thrilled to have Custom Hydrovac’s new website live, running smoothly, and already making an impact. From here, the Launch Kit team will continue supporting their site with updates, improvements, and real-time changes as needed.
Thanks to being onboarded into our project management tool ClickUp, Sydney can now easily send updates, new photos, or project wins to our team—Austin gets notified and makes the changes quickly. It’s efficient, collaborative, and exactly how we like to work.
