Introduction

When they coined the term “Midwest nice,” they were probably talking about Drew Bleeker, Kam Meuser, Shannon, and the rest of the team at Ver Wys Insulation. These guys are exactly why we love what we do here at Launch Kit. We get to work with people in our own Grand Rapids community to help build businesses into the best version of themselves.

Our role at Launch Kit is to give business owners the headspace, tools, and platform to put their best foot forward online. With Ver Wys, we did exactly that through a brand refresh, a smart website, and on-location photo and video content. Here's how it all came together.

Brand Refresh

As a trusted Grand Rapids insulation company, Ver Wys already had a solid reputation. Their name carried weight. But like many growing small businesses, their branding had become slightly misaligned with the direction their business was heading.

The original logo included service references to "home improvement". Historically, Ver Wys had indeed offered various home improvement services. But in recent years, they did what smart businesses do: they niched down. They sharpened their focus on insulation services, and that needed to be reflected in their brand identity, across every touchpoint.

We didn’t reinvent the wheel. We kept the brand’s essence intact, just ran it through a modern design process. We call this a brand kit.

Launch Kit Graphic Designer Emily Van Til collaborated with Drew and Kam to decide what stayed and what could be modernized. The result? A fresh, professional brand kit complete with vector logo files, an easy-to-use color palette, and a defined font selection. All designed to look sharp across digital and print. Phase one: complete.

Website Design

Phase two was bringing the new branding to life through a fully redesigned website.

Ver Wys had an existing site, but like many small business websites, it had gone stale. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t reflect their refined focus. Plus, without a system in place for easy updates, it had fallen behind. That’s exactly where Launch Kit comes in.

We started by mapping out the new site structure. What pages were needed? What content needed updating? What would give the clearest picture of Ver Wys Insulation’s services and values?

Launch Kit Web Designer Austin Johnson led the way, building each page using the updated brand identity. The new site is clean, clear, and modern. But more importantly, it reflects who they are now, not who they were five years ago.

This is what we aim for: a one-to-one connection between your business model and your website. That’s how you attract the right customers and build long-term trust online.

Photo + Video Content

Phase three is right around the corner. Our plan is to join the Ver Wys crew out in the field for two shoot days, capturing photo and video content for their website and social media. We call this a media bundle.

This content will give potential customers an authentic look at the Ver Wys team in action, on the job, doing what they do best. Not only will this build brand trust and authority, it’ll also provide evergreen marketing assets they can use again and again across platforms.

Ongoing Partnership

Now that Ver Wys is officially part of the Launch Kit program, we’re just getting started.

We’ll continue supporting them by keeping their site updated, creating fresh media content, and designing any marketing materials they need along the way. That’s the power of a local marketing partner, just one call away when you need to make a move.
