Background

Kevin was strolling through Rosa Parks Circle, heading back to his downtown Grand Rapids condo when his phone rang. A new number popped up on the screen: Brien K Dews from Rockford, Michigan.

After a few friendly introductions and shared stories about mutual friends, Kevin and Brien started talking about Brien’s clock repair business, Third Coast Clock Service.

Based off Northland Drive in Rockford, Michigan, Third Coast Clock Service is a professional clock repair business. Brien, a clock enthusiast since the age of six, learned the craft from his father, Larry, who had opened “It’s About Time,” a clock repair business in their family garage. Over the years, Brien has built his own reputation as a master clock expert in Rockford, Michigan, where his shop, Third Coast Clock Service, is located.

Brien had successfully developed his business across Michigan and was ready to document his expertise online. It was time for a fresh web presence.

Scope of Work

Launch Kit and Third Coast Clock Service created a straightforward and effective plan to showcase the clock repair business online:

1. Half-day photo/video production at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.
2. Half-day photo/video production at Third Coast Clock Service’s shop.
3. A 1-2 minute overview video.
4. 50+ professional photos.
5. A brand-new website through Launch Kit’s website program.

This scope of work ensured a fresh website that not only looked new but stayed updated thanks to Launch Kit’s website membership program. We know a website is only as good as its content. To take things up a notch, we planned two photo/video days to cover the website in polished, consistent, on-brand material.

Results

To kick things off, Launch Kit Website Designer Mackenzie Broekstra developed a beta version of the website. This included an outline of the pages, some initial copywriting, and clear spots for photo and video content.

Next, Launch Kit Creator Noah Wyn led the two production days, capturing stunning photo and video material. After editing, this content was handed back to Mackenzie to be seamlessly integrated into the website.

The result? A consistent, user-friendly, optimized website that authentically represents Brien Dews and Third Coast Clock Service through imagery and storytelling.
