Introduction

Here’s a fun one - a local, family-owned company making a product that pays homage to their history. We’re talking about Burek, makers of authentic Bosnian pastries. Their recipes were developed in Bosnia, prepared right here in West Michigan, and sold in grocery stores near you, including Meijer and Walmart.

The strategy for a product-based business whose primary sales channel is local grocers is unique. Success for Burek means serving their product to more and more families. They achieve this by increasing the availability of their pastries on store shelves across the region.

Website Project

The Launch Kit team sat down with Edin Sprecic, founder of Burek Etc, to learn about his vision for the business. Edin shared the company’s history along with the successes and challenges he has faced along the way.

Edin has built this company from the ground up into a thriving food manufacturer. Launch Kit came on board to ensure Burek’s online presence matched the quality of the food they serve.

Our strategy was to create a website that functions as a central hub for all things Burek:

• Wholesale information for grocers interested in stocking Burek products.
• Product pages showcasing the full lineup for both consumers and wholesalers.
• A store locator so customers can quickly find Burek products near them.

Launch Kit Web Designer Austin Johnson worked closely with Edin and his family to develop a website that is as authentic as the food they produce. The design incorporates branding elements that align with their packaging, creating a familiar experience from the website to the store shelf.

We focused on the essentials to get the site live: product pages, a store locator, and inquiry forms. Now that the site is running, we can continue adding content as Burek grows and becomes available in more locations.

Results

With the website live, Launch Kit is proud to be part of the Burek team. Our role is to keep their online presence evolving alongside the business. That includes updating product pages, adding store locations, and keeping images current.
