How We Helped a Grand Rapids Landscaping Team Level Up Online
We helped Outside Inc turn their landscaping work into a professional website, optimized portfolio, and photo video system that keeps growing with their business.

Visionary at Launch Kit
If you’ve ever been to the Home and Garden Show in Grand Rapids MI, one vendor always stands out. Right up front. Full ecosystem. Waterfalls, stone pathways, live plants. It’s more than a booth — it’s an immersive experience.
What might surprise you is who’s behind it. It’s not some big corporate landscaping company with 50 trucks and a call center. It’s Outside Inc — a family-owned landscape design build company led by Corey Finkler and his sons. That’s the entire team. And after getting to know them, we’d bet on them outworking the competition seven days a week.
In 2025, Launch Kit had the chance to join Outside Inc as their marketing partner. Our first focus was capturing new photo and video content and building a custom landscape website designed to grow with them. Here’s how it came together.
Photo and Video Content That Actually Reflects the Work
We first met Corey at the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce to kick off his onboarding with Launch Kit. He was ready to improve his website, but when we got talking about photos and videos from past projects, it became clear — he had a ton of solid work on his phone, but nothing that matched the quality of what his crew actually builds.
That’s where we stepped in.
At Launch Kit, we focus on putting the right people in the right seats. (Yes, we run on EOS — that’s where that comes from.)
We put together a simple plan. Daniel and I met Corey at three finished job sites on a Friday afternoon. I handled the photos. Daniel captured video. The work spoke for itself — clean installs, intentional designs, high-end materials.
Our goal? Build a content library that showcased the range of Outside Inc’s landscaping services. Those visuals would fuel both the website and future marketing — giving Mackenzie (Launch Kit’s Web Designer) everything she needed to build a site that looked and felt as real as the work Corey delivers every day.
A Landscape Website Built to Grow
With photo and video content in hand, Mackenzie began designing a custom website focused on Outside Inc’s core offerings — landscape design and build. We think of these core service pages as the skeleton of the site.
But the real muscle is in the custom portfolio system.
Mackenzie built a CMS-powered project portfolio with categories and tags that let us display projects across the site and allow for filtering and searching. Every new job can be turned into a dedicated page with photos, a project summary, and location-based details.
Why does this matter? Because every time we add a project, it sends a signal to search engines that Outside Inc is actively doing high-quality landscaping work in West Michigan neighborhoods. This builds long-term SEO value and local credibility — both with Google and with customers searching for a landscape contractor near them.
Outside Inc’s new site is designed to grow with them — not sit still and get outdated.
Ongoing Results and Partnership
As Outside Inc’s marketing partner, we keep everything easy. Updates are as simple as a text, call, or voice memo. When Corey finishes a job, we take care of turning it into a polished project page. Each month, we email a live dashboard link showing website traffic, top pages, Google search terms, and website session sources.
It’s all part of our all-in-one marketing suite — built for small business owners who want to grow without juggling ten different freelancers.
Now Corey and his team can stay focused on delivering unmatched customer service. We’ve got his back online.
The kind of project we love. A team we’re proud to support. See you at the Home Show.
