How Launch Kit Built Saunava's Website From Real Photos, Not Stock
See how Launch Kit turned Saunava's launch into a real photography shoot, a custom website, and a monthly SEO strategy built to grow with the West Michigan business over time.

"Let's get it set up the right way. Legit photos, professional photos of the experience. No stock photos, no AI generated images. Just the real thing. A website that lets people feel what it's like at Saunava before they even step foot in the door. Loud and clear, let's get to work."
That's what I told our team the first week we started with Saunava. This is what it felt like building that partnership from the ground up.
How Brenda and Betsy Found Us
Brenda and Betsy found Launch Kit through ChatGPT while searching for local marketing agencies. They reached out, we hopped on a discovery call, and it was clear pretty quickly that this was going to be a great partnership.
Saunava was a new business. And like most new businesses, their biggest gap wasn't ambition. It was authentic content and online presence.
They'd already done a photoshoot before us and had some DIY iPhone content in the mix. Mad respect for that. We never want perfection to be the enemy of progress, and getting started at all puts you ahead of most people who never do. But there's a point where a growing business is ready to take it up a notch, and Saunava was there.
The plan: replace their first-pass website with a top tier, on-brand, SEO optimized website. Not a one-and-done build that gets handed over to sit on a shelf. A living, evolving system that grows right alongside the business.
That's the difference. It's like hiring a web designer instead of just buying a website. That's what a growing business actually needs.
Why We Start With a Photoshoot, Not a Sitemap
Anyway, back to Saunava.
We started the project the way we prefer to start every West Michigan website build: with an afternoon photoshoot. Nothing overproduced. Just a down to earth session where we capture the real experience of a business. The team. The space. The service.
For Saunava, we brought the whole Launch Kit crew in as "actors" so we could experience the business firsthand and shoot the story as it actually happened.
We showed up at 2pm. By 4pm, we understood Saunava's business inside and out.
Here's what that afternoon produced:
Context for the build. Mackenzie and Lucy left with everything they needed to design a website that actually looked and felt like Saunava, not a template with their logo on it.
A full photo library. Kevin, Daniel, and Rachel led the shoot and walked away with an edited album of 50+ photos capturing the real space and experience.
Video footage. That same afternoon became the raw footage for the video now playing on Saunava's homepage (at the time of writing this)
No stock photography. No AI generated images. Just Saunava, as it actually is.
Building the Relationship, Not Just the Website
Here's the part that's easy to skip past: we also spent that time building an actual relationship with Brenda and Betsy.
We live in an increasingly digital world, and we love that. But it's worth remembering to use the other side of your brain too. The human side. The side that takes time to sit across from someone, understand their business, and build something together instead of just building something for them.
That's the foundation everything else sits on.
Where Saunava Stands Today
The website is live. Saunava is open for business.
Now the focus shifts to SEO for small businesses, and here's the part nobody wants to hear: SEO can't be built overnight, no matter what the latest internet marketing hack promises you. It takes consistency and discipline over time.
Here's how we're building it for Saunava:
Adding relevant, rich content to the website on an ongoing basis
Publishing regular page updates and blog articles
Collecting and featuring real customer testimonials
Doing this sends a clear signal, to AI chatbots and search engines alike, that Saunava is a real, thriving business worth confidently recommending.
How We Keep the Partnership Moving
We're not a "build it and disappear" agency. Here's what staying close actually looks like month to month:
Monthly reporting. We email Brenda and Betsy a website report on the first day of every month, covering the last 30 days of data. Traffic, traffic source, and keyword searches.
Open communication. We keep an active line open through texting and ClickUp, whichever is easier in the moment.
Strategy calls. When we have ideas worth discussing, we hop on a call and talk it through together.
It's not rocket science. It's a well built system, designed to scale alongside the business it's built for.
Honored to be on the Saunava team. Time to get back to work.
