Alpine Golf Club is an 18 hole public golf course located just north of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. They've been teeing it up since 1967 and have been a long-standing part of the golf community.

Scope of Work

The Alpine team has been working hard over the last 5 years to improve its customer experience both on and off the golf course. Steady upgrades are being done to the golf course but they were in need of a brand refresh.

At the time, Alpine had a website that had been neglected for years and a logo that didn't speak their values. Launch Kit joined their team to start from scratch and rethink how a modern-day golf course should present itself. We set the goal of creating a local golf brand that made the game golf accessible to everyone and had an innovative feel.

The Results

We started with branding and developed Brand Guidelines. The brand guideline kit was composed of a primary logo, secondary emblem, color palette, and typography selection. This branding was put together in a kit that the Alpine team could then use across all its company material.

Once we laid the foundation for a sustainable brand, it was time to begin designing a website. We thought about how a golfer will likely interact with the website. The most common path; land on the homepage, be curious how much golf costs, go to the rates page, call the golf shop for a tee time. We wanted to make this initial online customer experience as seamless as possible.

Through a custom e-commerce website design we were able to build Alpine something that was unlike any other golf course website. The website takes into account the user experience from the moment they land on the homepage. Golfers are able to get all the information they need, and then easily call the golf shop to make their tee time. The customer experience starts online.

Since partnering with Launch Kit, Alpine has experienced a total momentum shift in its business. The customer experience mentality has spread throughout the organization and they now pride themselves on making casual golfers feel right at home.

With rounds of golf through the roof and customer satisfaction at an all-time high, Alpine remains one of our favorite client partnerships. We are excited about the road ahead for Alpine and look forward to being part of the journey.
